History of Mercy

Mercy is a piece of rock attached to the algarve of Portugal. In 1914 it was a military base for a Nazi program known as Schaffung Program. It involved combining the DNA of human being with animals. There were many fatalities and very few successes. It was only when the vampires came forth that they learned of shifters. Vampire were very much involved in the creation of the first Schaffung's. They had a part to play in taking the border when the war ended.

The downfall of the Nazi's gave them the perfect opportunity to take control of the island, close the border and create a safe haven for vampires everywhere. The town became owned.

Lord Master Tatius

The Vampire, Tatius is also known as the Origin. Tatius was the first vampire ever created. A evolution in the human race. For every animal, there is a hunter. Humans were the top of the food chain for a very long time till Tatius came along. Born to what is known as Homosapians, Tatius became the first hunter of humans. He developed his own kind, finding out that upon biting and exchanging his blood with his victims, he could create offspring. Tatius was the first on the island. He'd won Hitler's favor after saving the man, as 'young soldier' plenty a time. He found out about the project on Mercy and instantly encouraged Hitler to post him on the island.

Slowly, he began the take over...

The Shifters

Just like every animal on earth has an enemy, so vampires have one enemy in particular: Shifters. The shifter blood has the ability to cause various different things in a vampire, from being poisonous to being a drug. Just like everyone has different DNA, different allergies, so Vampires too have different reactions to different types of shifter blood. No one really knows where shifters came from. The creatures that can turn into animals are believed to have dawned from Egyptian mages who'd cast many a spell to allow them to become shifters. Shifters began to hunt Vampires because of their scent but Vampires like those in Mercy learned to control the shifter population. Only a few are given rights.

The Schaffung Program

The Schaffung Program was created to develop super soldiers. Soldiers that had wings, soldiers that had fish tails, Soldiers that had snake like bodies, Soldiers that had horse bodies. Unfortunately it took the blood of vampires to allow the change to happen. Since 1914, what is now known as Creations, have become common place on the island. They are breed within the lab now. There are a few mutations such as creations that are not as strong and powerful as they should be. Those are called the mutations. They are

There are a few mutations such as creations that are not as strong and powerful as they should be. Those are called the mutations. They lack in the strength of the Creations and their immunity to illness or disease. Some are disfigured. Others lack one of their five senses. They do make up for this in the ability of one power.
